Default How pracitcal is the 1jz swap??

Im pretty new to the SC community, but im a long time mkiii supra owner.

As of right now i own a 1jz-gte mkiii and im thinkin of sellin it to buy a sc300. my question is, whats more practical, complete a 1jz swap, or just plop a turbo onto the 2jz-ge.

I performed the 1jz swap on my supra and really the only difficult part was the wiring harness. How difficult is the wiring for the SC, does it all plug in? do i have to extend anything? i know for the supra i had to extend all the wires to the ecu and and switch around lots of body and fuse connectors and i really dont want to do that again.

the 1jz swap would only cost me approx. 2500. is that cheaper then the addition of a turbo to the 2jz. NOTE: i would also like a 5speed car. Anyone do 5speed swaps on the SC's?

Jon

Your motor came from a supra the swap is basically the same except you will need a msd tach adapter to
send signals to the tach http://www.************/ has the diagrams you will need .
