Default Will the 91 LS400 engine fit?

Guys,

I am about to buy a 1UZ from ebay. It is from a 91 LS and will be going into a 93 SC400. Will the ECU work without any problems?? I have TRAC and so does this engine so I know the harness is the same.

What problems should I expect?

Jonny

So what exactly does that mean for me?? Does this mean I can't use it? I am looking to do this asap so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Will it be that easy do u think? I can get an LS motor with 113k for about $550 shipped or an SC with 177k for about $500 shipped. I was considering going with the SC one just so I doidn't have to mess with anything. What do u think?

Thx man,

jonny

since the drivetrains are the same, and the blocks are the same, they should be swappable from block to block to change any sensors needed.

Wish i could confirm, but logic tells me..........

Jonny, DO NOT do it
I've gone trough this same exact thing - bought 91 LS400 motor, dinked around for 2 months and parted the car out
the block is the same but the oil pan,the part where the oil pan bolts to, oil filter, PS pump, injectors, engine wire harness ARE different, vacuum system is different, if you gonna do the swap yourself you better know what you are doing, as for me it never worked, i've wasted money, time, skin and nerves and the motor never worked right

It will be fine. I have a 90 LS400 with 95 SC400 motor. No big deal. Little accessory difference. If you affair it wont fit, just transfer over except the long block.
