There was what looked like a small amp installed in the same bracket under the cd changer. I removed it with the cd changer but the audio sounded very muffled without it so I plugged it back in. It weighed around 3 lbs.

VSsc400's estimate was rather on the high side. The stock seats and hood weigh 180-190 lbs total. Supra seats are probably 60 lbs combined (not 100% positive about that, but somewhere in that ballpark), and the average CF hood is around 30 lbs. That makes the total savings 100 lbs tops, but more likely 80-90 lbs.
That's a good weight savings. My two front 93 tt leather seats weighed 88lbs. I know the supra na cloth seats are lighter than that. Either set would be a nice savings over the sc300 front seats. I knew the supra hood was aluminum but wasn't aware of the sc's hood. Good to know there are two nice weight saving options with the hood and seats. I know the doors weigh a ton but not sure what can be done with those.

That was the speaker amp. With the Pioneer system, the sub amp is separate, so that's all you had playing.

seibon carbon bonnets have good fitment. Otherwise, if you have lots of cash (~2k), import a BN Sports fibreglass bonnet from Japan.. I believe it weighs aproxmiately 10kg. Personally my favourite bonnet for the SC those louvres! So subtle

This has the makings of a good sticky, but with it being 31 pages long and filled with a lot of alternative posts, it’s difficult. If the contents of the thread were compiled onto page 1 this could be seriously awesome!
