I wouldn't sweat it, the mods to my intake/ports/fuel pressure/ignition timing did so much more than the exhaust wound up giving, less noise too.
Of course after doing all that other stuff I just had to do the exhaust, but if I'd known how little it was going to produce...

Did you port your Throttle Body, extrude hone the intake plenum? or heads? I'd love to chat sometime about your mods... I don't really want a loud car.
They did take my exhuast off and clean it out, there was debris inside the pipes, and they said the 3rd cat looks like it's breaking down. So no more rattles for the moment, and they didn't charge me a dime.

Hmmm..i went w/ a true dual and it made a huge difference. Just went w/ dual 2.25 piping to a magnaflow x-pipe to two 2.5 mufflers. Will make an even greater difference w/ the third cat removed since i only have a resonator in place (non cali car). I just took emissions 2 weeks ago and it hardly registered any emissions! So you cali guys shouldn't have a hard time passing..just make sure you dont shut the car off and keep it running while your waiting to get inspected (keeps cats nice and hot).

I'm going to school at Humboldt State Universtiy in Arcata. way up north. I'm most likely going to drive the car to maryland for winter break and get the exhuast done there. I'd like to get it done sooner here..
Can anyone out there that has done this mod, offer to have a duplicate made and shipped to cali that I could bolt on?

LOL... this thread is from 5 years ago. I ended up getting my exhaust done at Arcata Muffler before while they were still in the building on the plaza. Now it's a fancy pants cafe called Brio.
