Default Post exhaust install 600 mile trip

As some of you know, I recently got magnaflow race series with cat-back piping. After a 600 mile trip yesterday... all I can say is OUCH. The exhaust is WAYYYYYYYYY too deep. Its not loud like a ricer just DEEEEEEEEEP. It gave me the biggest headache and made me so damn nauseaus. Although I have to say that after gettin the exhaust done, my MPG on the freeway went from around 16 to 21. HUGE difference. For anyone who is considering the race series I just want to say you should look into the street series if you go out of town alot. The exhaust is really good in the city for 45 min drives and stuff. Once you go for a 10 hr drive, however, its a different story. I am by no means saying that I will get rid of the race series. I should have driven my LS in the first place but I just wanted to see how the SC would be in a long trip. I sure did get my answer. I KNEW it was going to be deep but I had NO idea it would make the whole damn ground start shaking. My only real complaint with Magnaflow is that they dont have a tunable silencer like some of the other manufacturers. I turned my music all the way up and even its bass was no comparison to the rumble I could still hear from the exhaust. If you have only one car and go out of town alot DO NOT get the race series unless you want a big headache. Just wanted to give a heads-up to anyone considering the race series... great exhaust in the city... horrible for long drives.

Good deal, do you happen to have any pictures of the install? Or pictures of you driving around? I want to see what it looks like.

Thanks for the warning.
I've had the Street Series 14829s for half a year now and what I've found is that it's slowly gotten deeper and louder as the muffler got "broken in"
When I was getting them put on, I was thinking about the Race series and when I came out of the shop at first, I wasn't too satisfied because they were pretty quiet, but boy did that change.
Be ready for them to get even deeper and louder and if you think that'll be too much for you, sell them now while they're still rather new and get yourself a Street Series set.

Good luck.
