I have a GS300 now and wanted to change to the SC, but I cannot decide what to get when it comes to modifications. SC300 seems to have quite a bit of aftermarket compared to the 400, but when it comes to the gains is the 400 better w/o going turbo(and cheaper?).

I was thinking either a SC300 or a 400 and doing intake/headers/exhaust along with SAFC for tuning it. I try to look around but I don't know the results people are getting out of the 400 from those mods.

 

A member named VSsc400 is putting down some good numbers (210rwhp 230rwtq) with his 400 using some of the mods you mentioned.

Unless you have plenty of $$ or am sure that u'll make enough for the turbo up grade in the near future, get the SC4. Otherwise, get the SC3 and get boosted!

edit: Oh ya, I forgot the fun 5-speed factor for the SC3, so consider that as well!
