Default Fuel Pump Low / High Speed

My understanding is the fuel pump runs at low or high speed according to demand.
Is there a particular RPM or throttle position that determines when that switch happens?
Is low speed only for idle / cruise and high speed for when you get on it?

Doing some troubleshooting and this info could be useful

Thanks!

P.S. - What's the life expectancy on the fuel pumps for these anyway?
If you had to replace yours when or what mileage did that happen?

Try 'Fuel pump computer' or 'Fuel pump ECU'.
What are you trying to troubleshoot?

I'm well aware of it.

By chance do you have the answer to my initial question?
