No you don't.

You need to keep higher PSI in (no more than 40) to be safe in case of leaks. If they leak anywhere and the tires goes down optimal PSI (32) then you're going to bend or crack a wheel in the smallest bump because there is nothing to cushion the impact.

I've stretched a lot of set up and never once put more than 38psi in my wheels.
