NX vs Rav4 Adventure/XLE
Surprised there's not more any threads on this -- given both are simlar size SUVs from the same company.
Both currently have similar incentives -- ~$1000.
NX can be had for a much greater discount
NX has turbo, RAV4 does not.
Loaded RAV4 has an MSRP of less than a base NX
For those that cross-shopped recently, what brought you to the NX?

Nameplate. We are paying for nameplate. Well, and some "luxury" along, but mostly nameplate. Can't even say reliability as RAV is pretty darn reliable vehicle.
Donno about 19, but I considered 16 and it was drab inside. Totally killed it for me.

19 is a new model. It's been getting great reviews.
IMO the interior of the NX is better than the RAV4.
Is the drivetrain better?
Are the above two worth the extra $?
Looking for opinions

Intermediate
The new RAV4 has upright rear shock absorbers, compared to the NX's 45 degree ones. This ought to provide superior handling characteristics, given proper performance alignment specs on both.
The new RAV4 also has torque vectoring, further enhancing handling performance.
Looking forward to see these implemented in the next generation NX.

I test drove a new 2019 Rav4 XLE and a 2017 NX200t with 13.5 K miles. (Price was the same)
The NX handled better, had better ride and better pick-up (235 bhp vs174)
NX had more knee room under dash on passenger side -- my wife complained about lack of leg and foot room ender dash.
NX had other options that were not on Rav4

Yeah it’s just a RAV4 after all. It’s a new redesign but they are nothing special IMO. That low power and torque is not acceptable to me. I wouldn’t even consider one based on the engine specs.
