I tried do a search but I'm not finding what I'm looking for. Wondering if anyone has added any carbon fiber trim inside. I'm not looking to add a lot, but would like to add a little to change the stock look. Specifically looking to add an insert to the shift **** as I think it is bland and distracting in stock form. Even better would be a stock looking shift **** with a stitch wrapped leather with the carbon fiber insert. I seem to recall seeing someone post a picture on here who got one, but now can't find it. It might have been a special order from Japan. I also have seen a few pictures on eBay for a kit that includes the shift **** and bottom of the steering wheel. If anyone has done this and how they feel about it, I'd like to know. I've seen these type of appliques in the past and they looked very cheap and stuck on, but if there are manufacturers or sources for good ones, I'd like to know where they are available.

I could have sworn someone removed some trim pieces and wrapped them with carbon fiber. I wanna say CorradoMR2 did it, but I can't find the post. Same for the shift know, searching isn't doing much for me right now.

Pretty sure it was nigel821 who got the replacement shift ****. But searching isn't working for me.

I contacted Nigel and he linked me to his post on the shift **** and I have already ordered the new ****. I agree with his post that the stock **** is kind of plain and the replacement comes from the GS and just looks a little classier with the baseball stitching. I'm still interested if anyone has added CF to either the **** or the steering wheel. There are quite a few vendors on eBay that sell them, but I'm just wondering if they wind up looking like a stick on cheap accessory or if they pull off a more original look. It's just hard to tell from the photos with the ads. Many years ago I got a kit for a 4Runner and hated it because it just looked so fake.
