Range display

Filled up the NX200T for first time after taking ownership couple weeks ago.
On a full tank the range displays 430km (267miles)
My Audi A4 is also a 2.0L turbo with a 60L tank however the range displays 640km (398miles) after a full tank fill......although I only average 550km per fill with about 8L left in reserve.
The NX currently has about 50,000kms
So my question is, does the NX start recalibrating the range after logging in more hours of our driving habits?
Is it pretty accurate?
I’m down to about 330km left on the range display with 110km on the trip already so definitely isn’t adjusting as I’m driving.

Really hoping I’m not gonna get 100km less out of this NX compared to my tuned A4....

267 miles is not right. You should have at least shy of 400 miles. 380 or so. Winter time.
1. do you roll on stock tires?
2. locate and pull out main ECM fuse. NX likely has several ECM fuses, so pull out all of them, then reinstall. You will lose radio presets(maybe) and may have radio disabled, so make sure you have radio code to enter, should be in your owner manual. But, it will fully reset any mpg "habits" your vehicle has.and you can start the new beginning.

My range is usually 280 miles after fill up. Of course, if driving all highway under 80 mph during that fill up, i can get a few more miles than stated.

That's 23 mpg, as fill up is usually around 12g.
That sucks. Sorry. Have no idea how I magically keep mine at 29. Of course, we have VERY unusually warm winter, no cold literally, mid 30s am to 60 afternoon. Well, the usual thick traffic on FWYs and I do not go faster than 70 on 60. But even then my gauge sits at 30mpg.. Must be really cold where you at.

Firstly, driving range estimate will eventually adjust to your driving style/habits.
Second, I used to have 2011 A4 Avant and averaged at times close to 35 mpg, while driving on highway, even at speed close to 80. However, my NX200t mpg and my Avant mpg in mixed driving are very close.

Just came from the gym.
I paid attention to cruising mpg this time.
On a flat level HWY stretch, what is hard to find around here, at 33 degrees outside and 67mph on cruise control, gauge shows 32/33mpg.
I know this is not helpful and likely annoying, but that's what I observed. Also, mine is FWD. Still, should not be that much difference.

Thanks for the advice, and input guys
Will keep an eye on the next few tank fills & actual range I get vs what the NX display shows.
I’m mostly highway driving for both cars so I’d be disappointed if I don’t get at least 450km (280m) to a tank on the NX.

So out of curiosity, what range is displayed on everyone else’s NX200T right after fueling up a full tank?

For me whenever I fill up it almost always resets to approximately 325 miles. and it stays consistent so if I drive a hundred miles it'll show my range as 225 miles. I have even let it go all the way down to zero and then filled up and I had to put around 320 miles for it to hit zero for my range. Although it doesn't display 0 it'll just say refuel.

Just fueled/ 380. Summer time it was 400-420. It never hits that range, after you reach 1./ 4 tank left, range starts drastically reducing itself. But summer time I had it over 400 driven miles several times. No school traffic.

Over 400miles?!...that’s like 650ish kms
Wow you must really drive into the reserves to get that distance.
That’s too much stress for me driving around with fuel light on.

Lex2000TL 01-27-19 12:40 PM

Toady I reset mpg average (see picture how to...) to zero and drove on freeway for about 30 miles. It is COLD in Chicago, but my reading was 26.5 mpg (average). Tire pressure was at 34 psi, as it is COLD and I did not want to mess it up as the temperature will go up again soon.

So I filled up the NX for second time today and thinking perhaps the range display calculates according to how much fuel is put in - in other words, it doesn’t take into calculation remaining fuel in gas tank....although I find that odd.
I’m thinking this because I filled up 44L (11.6gallons) today and the range displayed 440km (273miles) which isn’t very good. However if you take into account the remaining fuel in the tank (about 16L) then I suppose tacking on another 100km or so would be more realistic.
I’m gonna try running the NX to near empty next fill to test this theory.

I agree with LEX2000TL: "Firstly, driving range estimate will eventually adjust to your driving style/habits."
The range changes based upon fuel consumption for the tank. I suspect that when initially filling, it may default to either 1) something preset, or 2) some number based on previous experience.

Page 92 in owners manual explains how to reset average MPG and range. I tried, unsuccessfully, upload the picture...

I will look into this when my wife gets home with the NX. Appreciate the advice
