Default NX300 slight vibration at 55MPH +

Hey all, just got a 2019 NX300, drove it off the lot and noticed at about 55 and up there is a minor vibration in the wheel, you can feel it in the seats as well. I am in car sales and leased the NX from the Lexus dealer in our group. I brought it into service and explained what was happening.. The tech test drove and did not notice the vibration (its winter here in MN and kinda bad roads that day) they balanced the wheels and I got it back, it feels the same.... One of my family members drove it and said they can feel it too, she has a 2016 RX so I drove that and didn't notice the feeling.. Brought it back and did a ride along with one of the other Techs, he felt it and thought it could be a flat spot in the tires.. said to drive it for about 1-2K miles and see if it gets better... Anyone else have this on their NX? Am I crazy? I know you're going to feel some road vibrations but its weird its only at that MPH.. Talked to the sales manager today and the GSM said they would look into it Monday morning.. Let me know your thoughts

That's definitely not normal. I have a 19 F-sport and have taken it to beyond 80+ mph and felt no vibration at all. Hopefully it's something the dealership can fix right away...good luck!

Welcome to the forum!

The issue is not uncommon across the automotive industry and the primary culprit besides the tire flat spot (which you'd feel at all speeds) is an unbalanced wheel/tire. The vibration at highway speed is the classic symptom of this. Had this a couple times with multiple new tires/rims over the years.

Should be an easy fix for the dealer. Enjoy your new NX!

the thing that baffles me is they balanced the wheels when I brought it in the first time

Ask dealer to mount different set of tires and test them. If the issue is gone, you will know what to do...

I just leased a 2019 FSport. Also in Minnesota. I haven’t noticed any vibrations. What tires do you have?

The Yokohamas, it’s bizzare, it’s not a big vibration, I know what it feels like when the wheels need a balance, it’s really subtle but enough to be annoying.. I will keep you posted what happens tomorrow

If you can feel it in the steering wheel, it should be a front tire vibration. You normally feel rear wheel vibrations in the seat. If you can tell which end it’s coming from, rotate the tires and see if it moves to the other end of the vehicle. If it does, you know for sure it’s a tire balance issue. If it doesn’t change, it’s something else.

Well, finally got it figured out! Went out with a senior Tech this morning, he felt the vibration, confirmed it was flat spots, they replaced the wheels and tires and poof problem solved!

Default 2019 NX300 vibration under driver seat at 38-41mph

I have had this vibration since I got my NX at 38-41mph. Also felt at 50-55mph. I have new set of tires and still have the same vibration under the seat. The dealership is trying to figure it out, but cant seem to correct the issue. Anyone know what else could cause this?

Did they just do tires or wheels as well? Mine they just swapped a whole new set of wheels and tires on and it took care of it.
