It’s about $1k below KBB. Seems like a decent deal based on what I’ve seen in my area. I’m wondering if it was a dealer loaner. Not sure how an Acura dealer got a 2 year lease return.

That's about what I paid. Mine was $30,000 but with NO navigation and higher mileage (32k). That price seems like a fair deal. And my two cents is don't bother with the certified pre-owned. In my opinion, that's just a way to jack up the price by assuring the buyer that it's been thoroughly checked & serviced. Of course if something were to go wrong, that certified pre-owned is only worth the paper it's printed on. Besides, it's a Lexus. They're not known for having drive trains fail or any other serious mechanical issues.
Good luck!

It says lease but there is no record for lease return.

Basically, yes. It's a bit more complicated, but the gist is that you can trade it in if the trade in offer is higher than your buyout cost on the lease. Very much like trading in a car that you have financed but is not yet paid off.

This is end of the year and dealer wants to close as many deals as possible. So, low-ball it - make offer for $29.0 to $29.5, and go from there. You should be able to get it close to $30K.
It also helps if you can find out how long this car has been on their lot. For obvious reasons, dealers are anxious to get rid of "stale" inventory.

Did you decide against the GS you were looking at?

GS is still on the table if I can find a 2016 F-Sport. Basically I'm down to these three: NX, 2019 RDX and GS.
I'm going to take my time until the right one comes along be it a GS or NX. I really liked the new RDX I test drove but there are zero incentives right now and I'm not keen on paying nearly full price.
The crossover suvs are more practical in my case but there is something about that GS F-Sport that I really like.
I appreciate all the advice from this forum.
