Default Dose Cruise control handle illuminate at night?

Is it normal the cruise control handle not illuminated at night? I try to use it at night, but I just notice it doesn't illuminate it. You only can take a guess while operating. I think it is a safety issue when you try to use it at night.

I also noticed memory seat button not illuminated at night, either. Also the location is also hard to reach it. Lexus shouldn't cut down the cost for those small area.

How about a bunch of buttons hidden by your left knee? ODO buttons completely hidden behind light stalk? You want me to keep going?
They shouldn't. But it costs money and if you put 2 olives less into Manzanilla olives jar, it's quarter million savings a year. Few light bulbs here and there save likely same to them.

Not sure about the illumination. However, I agree with you regarding the placement of the buttons for the memory seat. I have to open the door to see them! Ideally, they would have been placed ABOVE the arm rest or at the very least illuminated so as to make them visible.

Agree. Ideally, they would have had potential buyers get in the car and ask what they liked and didn't like. While the memory-seat buttons don't operate while moving, pressing all the other ones by the driver's left knee while driving represents a safety hazard.

+1. I am always wondering in car designing world, do they go through some kind of user experience testing before finalizing the design? You can easily find some awkward design language here and there.
e.g. there is no 12V in the center console, but there is one in the trunk
