Possible to mirror Waze app on my phone to Lexus?
Hi,
I'm new to the forum. I purchased a 2017 Lexus NX200T without navigation. My thought was that I would just use the "Connected Navi" feature and connect Waze. However, the folks at Lexus say "Nay, nay!" I HAVE to use Scout GPS Link.
1. After downloading & installing Scout GPS Link on my phone, I had no issues connecting to the the car via Bluetooth.
2. After actually USING Scout GPS Link, I wanted to return the Lexus! (It literally told me while on I-85 to "make a U-Turn"!)
Is there ANY WAY to use something like Miracast on my Samsung Galaxy S8 to "mirror" Waze onto the screen in my car? I know that's probably pretty ambitious. I DID see a YouTube tutorial but the device that was used won't work without the car having GPS.
Thanks,
Graham

I'd like to know too, mirroring other navigation apps instead of Scout GPS.
Scout GPS is really buggy. It connects via USB cables and display correctly on car screen, also support voice commands, but it always stuck in re-routing.
Hope we can mirror Google maps on the screen.

WOW!!! The sarcasm is RAMPANT in some of these answers!!! LOL
I haven't tried Scout yet, now I'm almost afraid to start! LOL
The more I get involved in the new technology in cars, the more I wish I had kept my 67 Mustang fastback!! lol

Oh, sorry. I forgot to put sarcasm warning in. NX is retarded, to be honest. My 5 yo phone is way much more advanced than that technological miracle. That's why all I use is MPG screen and streaming from my phone and Waze for nav. Done. I tried FF USB recording with it once, I mean - steering wheel controls. Oh did I pay for that a minute later, when it locked infotainment. So don't touch the pile, won't stink.
