Whining Noise
Getting a whining/whirring noise when the vehicle is cold...driving along on and off the throttle gently at 1500-2000rpm. Sounds very similar to alternator whine, comes from the front of the vehicle. Does it every single morning or if the vehicle has sat for a few hours. It only started doing this around a month ago, it definitely hasn't done it since new.
Can anyone else check to see if their vehicle is doing the same? I've had it in for service twice now. First time they did the cold weather idle TSB which obviously didn't fix it, second time the dealer is saying because apparently another one on their lot is making that noise too that it's normal. I think both probably just have the same problem. They've also involved Lexus themselves or at least reached out to them in some way but that didn't help much.
I'm pretty pissed off about it at this point given that this is a Lexus vehicle (my first) and I've never had any other vehicle make such lousy noises and them to claim it's normal, too bad, so sad. Second time too, my blower makes a high pitch ringing sound at certain levels (conveniently the auto climate sets it at this level in the winter all the time) and again, too bad it's normal.

Did you ever discover the cause of this and did you have any issues with your NX over time? Mine is doing the same.
