Wow talk about bad luck, I drive on that highway often. Anyways, when I last purchased touch up paint about 1/2 year ago, the prices for Lexus and aftermarket wasn’t much of a difference that I would think twice about getting the Lexus paints. I have an ultra white and required the basecoat plus clearcoat.

Talk about luck; while driving at 75 mph on Highway 60 in Southern California in my 2006 RX two years ago, a truck in front of me let loose a 2X4 board that sailed directly through my windshield, between my passenger and me, and imbedded in the rear (unoccupied) seat.

We just glanced at each other and continued on at speed because there wasn't much else we could do at that point....and you don't want to slow in SOCAL traffic!

I eventually stopped on a side street, inspected the damage, checked on the nearest glass replacement store, had the windshield replaced within 90 minutes (with blue tape "holding" it in place), and was back on my way towards Santa Barbara.
As I recall, there was very little out of pocket expense, and frankly, I needed a less pitted windshield before the board went through it....

Get it fixed to even out the deep scratches and then get a Black Gloss Roof Wrap to hide any discoloration. In end, you get a custom looking NX
