Read Text Messages
Got a 2018 NX Premium package with GPS, loving it except only problem is I can't get the system to automatically read text messages. I get a notification on the screen that I have a message, but I have to go to phone > messages > select message for it to read it. On my 2017 GX when I get a message the system automatically reads it. Am I missing some sort of setting, I can't find anything! The phone is a Google Pixel 2

DampDuffer: While stopped use the control pad to touch "Reply" You will see three (3) tabs of five (5)
canned replies. To the right you will see a "pencil in a box" icon. Decide which canned phrase you
will never use and open up the pencil (edit) icon and compose any message you would like to use
while driving. You can reply while driving with any message you composed while parked.
Or you could get an iPhone and press the steering wheel "off hook" button and Siri will initiate or
respond to any text with any message at any speed. iNuts however do not get e-mails on screen, just texts...

I'll give it a try. Will my composed reply remain in the memory, or will I have to pull over each time to use my "home made" replies?

They will remain to be used while driving until you modify them further.
Have you found that you can zoom the map by "pinching" or "spreading" your fingers
on the new larger than before touch pad?

Google Nexus 6P works, too. You may need to check your phone settings, unpair it, start all over and watch particularly for popups in the phone as it pairs, and for maybe a minute after.

fyi, one of the challenges known for iphone to properly function, Messages setting must be YES SHOW ON LOCK SCREEN.
Again, not sure about expectations about other phone brands, as the function is known as Siri Eyes Free.

I have a 2015 F-Sport, my Galaxy S7 works perfectly now that it's on Android 7, but it was completely broken on 5 & 6. Was same thing with my S5, working perfect on Android 4, broken on 5 & 6.
