I was a bit nervous at the beginning, but now it's completed.

Couple of things:
1) Use FAT32 format for USB. Put all the files in the root folder
2) Find a nice quiet place where you can keep your car running
3) Be patient and follow the manual

Also, my e-Owners Manual did not reset and all my setting are in place.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
How will I know what the USB format is? Will it be on the packaging?

Thanks so much...

Just re-format the USB key again, see link below for instructions:

You'll have to or should format it yourself to FAT32 and copy the files to it, using a Windows computer or virtual machine.

If you format it using a Mac using Disk Utility, it does the partitioning a bit differently and won't start the installation process. If you copy the files to it using a Mac, there are some hidden files that will be missed and you'll get the red screen after step 10.

All the French language and metric measurement stuff works. It might just be my experience, but following the update it took a while for Apple and Google Maps via CarPlay to display my correct location. The Lexus nav was saying I was in the correct city and country, but CarPlay was thinking I was in Virginia. Turning off the car and reconnecting the iPhone a couple of times corrected the issue.

Just tried the update an hour ago. Is Lexus doing an OTA update block from self upgrade? I have a 2018 with no Nav (Pioneer) Audio version 1001. I was able to do up to step 15. Until says update failed because it trying to download online, so I turn Bluetooth on it try the update again it worked. The update successful but I am now stuck version 1011 and the table doesn't support this version. Try turn off the audio/engine for 2min and try to update from the USB again, now keep saying software is up to-date. Anyone have any idea?

I took a quick look at the L-SB-0027-19 (Pioneer) verison. If you check step 25. You should have current version 1004 or 1011. Do you have the projector icon for apple car play now?

Also isn't it funny how we are risking serious damage when the dealer is installing the update same way via the instructions that are on the toyota site... If the dealer bricks the headunit they replace as per the instructions...lol Totally get the potential for bricking something but at the same time, I don't think it's as dire as they make it out to be. This is coming from someone that has always rooted their phones, updated other car system, upgrades IT equipment worth many many times over what this head unit costs and normally is more of a complicated process.. The directions seem rather straight forward to me. Use a quality thumb drive that is properly formatted and has the correct files in the root directory. The car does the rest.. then reinstall the owners manual if need be. On a scale of 1-10 for hardness this definitely looks like a 1.5 to me.

Fair enough. Sounds like a few folks here have gotten it to work just fine.

Yea my bad stupid me. I was thinking the update will be version 1990. Haha I found the carplay option in the setting and yes I see the projector icon.

Every time I start the car the enform pop up for update. I did the update like 4 times still pop up for update.

There's a new app in enform called New apps! But uninstall itself every time I launch it.

So I take it that this update is not compatible with 2015 cars?

For the most part, CarPlay is working well. Has anyone else encountered an issue when using "Hey Siri" and the centre gauge in the instrument panel getting stuck on the muted microphone symbol? The voice command works, but the centre gauge doesn't switch back to the panel (eg speedometer) after the voice command is acknowledge and processed. The return button on the steering wheel doesn't work either. I've only been able to fix it by engaging the Lexus voice command prompt then closing it on the screen... which works until the next use of Siri.
