Does anyone know the part number to tire caps for 2016 F-Sport? I think a dealer did a ****ty job and didn’t replace my orginal ones back. Now I have 2 black caps and 2 no caps. Its been too long to go back to the dealer to say WTF. I ruled out someone stealing them, because why would anyone stealing tire caps replace black caps for me? Lol.
Do you mean the Nitrogen logo caps? They aren't Lexus, just a gimmick for the nitrogen package many dealers put in their add-on package. AFAIK, plain caps are what comes on the car from the factory. Black caps from NAPA work just as well.
The valve stem caps that come on the car from the factory are not aluminum, and you don't want aluminum valve stem caps.
When aluminum valve stem caps corrode, it can become impossible to remove them, and trying to remove them can lead to breaking the valve stem and damaging the tire pressure sensors. You can confirm this for yourself by doing a quick Google search of "aluminum valve stem caps and damage to valve stems" or something similar.
When competent tire shops and dealer service departments see aluminum valve stems on a car, they should inform the customer that they are removing them and replacing them, most likely with plastic caps.
K, I’ll just continue to search myself. All I wanted to ask is if anyone knew the part number to the valve stem caps I had on my car. Didn’t care for all the extra info, but thank you all.
