Rx450 h vs Nx 200t
Drove a brand new RX450h loaner while the 200t was having its 45000 kms service.
I was surprised by several things..
1. RX fuel use at 9.4 l/100km vs NX at 9.8. Remarkable how a big heavy and brand new 3.5 litre V6 with hybrid batteries uses less fuel than a relatively light well worn in 2 l turbo.
2. Interior quality in the RX was exceptional. Everything felt quality and several steps above the NX. This was the base RX and mine is the top of the range NX. Price difference of $14,000. An example was the window switch gear. Very cheap looking IMO on the NX, in the RX each button was trimmed in real metal. Nice.
3. Noise. RX whisper quiet particularly wind noise and road noise intrusion. NX, well, I don't need to tell you. I've noticed on the 2018 NX update still no acoustic glass on the side windows.
The big strength of the NX was handling. The RX was a sofa on a water bed. Truly horrible.
Hopeful that the full update of the NX in 2020 will be a little more RX interior and quality and a little less RAV 4. Otherwise, a RX 350 f sport may be the way to go.

You are comparing apples to oranges though. I would be disappointed if the hybrid got worse mileage than the nx. The interior quality is a fair point, but coming from an es350 and is350 i find the nx fsport interior to be right on par with what i'm used to. The nx is also just about as fast as the rx even though the engine is smaller, and it burns considerably less fuel non hybrid vs non hybrid. When i bought the nx i was comparing it to the rx and the extra cost and worst fuel economy of the rx is what steered me to the nx.

All RX benefits you've listed you crossed off with "The RX was a sofa on a water bed. Truly horrible."
My wife loves her RX, for a reason. I do not, for another reason, as you may guess.
