Announced today that the iphone X will work with Qi charger. Now to hear from the first purchaser as to whether it will fit. This may make one of the most useless features in the car to its most valueable. For apple users that is.

the 8plus/iphoneX will most likely not fit (based on the fact that my 6s plus doesn't fit, and the new phones will likely be the same or similar size). the regular 8 might fit, though. maybe someone with a 6 or 7 can chime in.

Looks like the X will fit (please excuse the crude mockup), but if you have a case on it, it might be tight.

If the X fits, the regular 8 will fit. It's smaller. Will finally get a chance to use my Qi charger.

The wireless charger on the NX is using Qi Wireless charging technology. So, yes, it will charge iPhone 8/Plus and iPhone X. However, the fitment of the phone to the slots is another questions, I haven't seen the slot that allows you to place the phone..

Hello. I confirm I can charge my iPhone 8 on the NX wireless charger and also Apple Watch 3 can be charged but, in this case, it's not reliable because it moves and it doesn't stay in touch firmly with the charger.

2018 NX models come with a bigger wireless charger. Does anyone find a place to buy the upgrade part to replace our small wireless charger?

UPDATE: I can confirm that the iphone X fits without a case on, and barely fits (but still charges) with a very thin case on the phone. Given that the iphone 8 is smaller than the X by a few mm, the 8 should fit. The 8 plus would not fit in my 2015's charger.

My i-phone 6 plus fits in the 2018 NX wireless charger - I have to use a wireless charger case but I am very happy with the NX charger - it is relatively quick and does not heat up the phone that much.
