Tire Noise
I have just (last week) purchased a 2017 NX300h and find and excessive tire noise inside regardless of the road surface. Can someone tell me how to overcome this and what is considered to be the quietest tire for this vehicle.

I have found our NX just has a lot of tire noise (with Michelin tires). I just assumed that is the nature of the vehicle, which isn't nearly as quiet as our ES or our former RX. I can't help but wonder if they didn't just rush this model to market and as a result it still has a great deal of the RAV4 DNA. Still a really nice vehicle, just lacking in that typical Lexus quiet refinement. The marketing press suggests the 2018 refresh will feature better sound deadening.

I'm running Yokahoma oem on 32 PSI cold and 36 PSI hot on my '17 FSport and it seems Fine.

I'm running Michelin tires on 3 vehicles. The road noise is minimal on the older RX and ES. I lowered the air pressure to 32 on the NX but it didn't help. As my Lexus dealer told me, this is a sportier, stiffer ride and you'll have to get used to it. I may drive the new model when it comes out to see if there's any difference.

I really like my F-Sport, but if I drive a 2018 and note a relatively significant difference in noise level, I will not hesitate to trade-in my '17 for an '18.

I have been running Michelin tires on all my cars since 1970 and I love the feel and sound of the tires. It was not until the NX that I started hearing cockpit/cabin noise to any degree....so I doubt it is the tires that are the problem.
I really like my F-Sport, but if I drive a 2018 and note a relatively significant difference in noise level, I will not hesitate to trade-in my '17 for an '18.
