So took to dealer for last complimantery oil change @10,000 mile change and asked to up the turn signal from 3 blinks up to 5 blinks. I really like the 5 flashes much better. Three blinks forces you to make lane changes a little faster than i'm comfortable with which may or may not be safe. I prefer the 5 blinks which gives a little time to ease over without looking like your driving erratically. If you want it to stop blinking to total of 5 just tap turn signal and it will stop blinking. I tried the Youtube DIY and nothing worked for the NX so asked the dealer to change the factory setting from 3 to 5.

I have done the same for our NX as well as the ES for the same reasons. Keep in mind you can also make these changes and many others yourself with the Carista app and an ODBC dongle.

I changed mine to five the second week I had my NX, using the Carista app. Three is definitely not enough around Southern California.
