Ok so the other night I went to use the interior button to close the power liftgate. I did a quick press and it wouldn't close. At first I thought something was wrong. But when I did a long press (press and hold) it worked.

Now I have had this car for over 2 years and I swear a quick press opened and closed the liftgate. Now it's a press and hold. Did Lexus change it's operation with the last software update? or am I just losing my mind?

Mine has always been long press. It can be changed using Carista. I prefer the long press to make sure I don't accidently open it in the garage with the garage door closed.

Never a short press for me, ever, in either direction.

That's probably all it is...

I'm on my 4th Lexus with a liftgate, and all, including my 2017 NX F-Sport, have a press and hold feature on the button to open it.
