NX Ride
I test drove a 2017 NX and it did not ride as good as my 08 RX with 130k on it. Anybody else notice the difference? I love the looks of it but not sure I can make the switch and give up RX comfort??

I guess you could call the RX more "comfortable," in that it provides a softer ride, but it was "lumbering" and no fun compared to NX F-Sport, IMO.

I felt the RX (even F-sport) was too soft and had too much body roll. Drove the NX F-Sport and "fit me like a glove." Then again, I came from the late 90's–00's Honda scene, and we appreciate the lower, stiffer, better handling rides.

We love the ride and handling of our NX. Its definitely is not a luxobarge from the 60's, thankfully. I never drove the RX so can't compare with it. I do appreciate a firmer ride, my other car is a 2006 Miata with an aftermarket suspension. The NX is smoother and nicer, both are good.

Own 2016 NX Fsport and 2017 RX Fsport.
Previous models were 03RX and 2010RX.
NX is my go to car for daily fun. Feel the road, quick acceleration.
RX is for comfort/dinner out. Spacious, soft, luxury drive.
Too bad RX doesn't have turbo.

The NX is a firmer ride. Kinda get used to it after a while. My other car is a RX330 and it has a much softer ride. I test drove the 2016 RX350 F-Sport, its definitely a softer ride, but I like the feel in that as well.

Dealership possibly pumped more PSI into the tires and/or you test drove one with summer tires. At 32 cold PSI with summer tires, my NX feels comfy, not too firm and not too jarring on the road.
I guess the bottom line will be where you come from or what you're comparing to. Comparing to the RX, the ride on the NX does feel somewhat firmer. I too, come from Honda scene, and still owns an S2000 for the weekend. To me, the NX feels like heaven.

Our NX has a shorter wheelbase with a bouncier, noisier ride than either our 2004 RX or our 2013 RX. We've gotten used to it, but if you expect that typical refined Lexus ride I would stick with an RX. The appearance of the new RX is similar but you will get the nicer ride and better sound deadening.

I also have 2008 RX350 and 2017 NX200t and can compare both.
- RX drives like top-heavy SUV.
- NX drives almost like a car.
RX may be better for a long drive due to softer ride and it is a bit quieter. But I do not like the seats: too short bottom and no lateral support.
NX is best for shorter tips and city driving, although long drives are not an issue at all. the seats are terrific!

I initially went to the Lexus dealership to test drive CPO 2014 RX350s. Coming from an '03 MB ML500, the ride on the RX felt really soft and squishy. That's not a knock on the RX, it had an incredibly smooth and comfortable ride, but I preferred something a little sportier. The NX fit the bill, even the non-F-Sport version like mine. The steering is still a little light, but I don't mind it. Besides, i still have my C32 AMG to zip around in on weekends

I have '15 GX460, '17 NX F-sport, and '06 RX330..all AWD and the NX is my Go-To car, love its ride and handling. GX is for the whole family and the RX is for doing "dirty" stuffs. I also had '10 RX350 and 450h..those are nice (at that time) but they are NO WHERE close to the NX in the ride and handling dept.

Wait for 2018 NX OP. MY18 will feature improvements to the suspension tuning to enhance ride and handling. The springs, stabilizer bars, and bushing have been re-tuned for improved turn-in response and cornering. New shock absorbers should provide more smoothness. The biggest change is the Adaptive Variable Suspension (based on the LC500 system), offers a range of up to 650 instantaneous compression and dampening adjustments (up from 30) for enhanced control and overall handling stability. All this should help with reduced noise, vibration, and harness (NVH). Also some additional sound deadening material within the vehicle body will be added.

well in truck/towing terms....all drivers like the better stability of the larger trucks even tho the towing cap is very close. f150/250 2000lbs difference just in weight but only 300lbs towing cap...my point is what you feel safer in...some like f150....some f250.
