Hello all,

My Navi/radio unit behaves "weird" on and off such as Back up camera stays on in drive, AM/FM radios got stuck in 1 channel, Navi screen went blank/dark for like 5 minutes...However, I CANNOT duplicate these issues when I wanted to (at the dealer to show the technician)...I have videos of these bad behavior..

Today's question is: When playing music from the USB drive, turn off the car (but do NOT turn off the music), start the car and the song starts playing. However, the first 10-20 seconds after the car is restarted the music is cut off and on, off and on, off and on (for 3 times) then everything is normal. Is your car doing that?

No...but mine doesn't always re-detect the usb drive when turning the vehicle off and on. I have to unplug the drive and plug it back in to detect and then select usb source again.

Dealer said it's a known issue and there's no fix. I think it sucks.

mine never has an issue with USB where I have to unplug it and plug it back in. Using a Sandisk 32gb Ultra Fit.

This is exactly what I have, 2 of them. One in the GX and it works fine. The one in the NX was used in my Tacoma and tundra with no problems.

does yours cut in and out?

I'll check, if you tell me how to turn off the car without turning off the radio (don't make me read the manual...)

EASY...

Before turn off the car put it in Neutral, Turn off, then move it to Park. You will have about 20 minutes to play music and so.

If you want to have radio or navigation or MID on without engine running. Just push the start button without your foot on the brake.

I turned off the engine and music was still playing from USB, but starting the car, I ended up turning it all off. How do I start the engine while things are playing? When I started the car, music started after a little bit and played normally.

..music was playing from USB, turn off engine and music is off, restart engine and music starts playing from USB BUT it was off, on, off, on, off, on then everything is normal after that.

with all of these problems I believe my HU is defective. Thank you for trying.
