Default Please tell me about F Sport!

Tomorrow I'm trading in my 2017 NX200t (Atomic Silver) for a 2020 NX300 F Sport (Nebula Pearl) - a decision I made after driving a 300 loaner from the dealer and discovering it's such a nicer drive than my 200t. Besides the cool trim and better pickup than the 200, what else is great about F Sport?

Wish you be happy with new, to you, car. Perhaps your NX200t is not in as good shape mechanically, as NX300? Otherwise, how to explain that NX300F has better "pickup" since both vehicles have exactly same drivetrain. The only difference is that F-sport has “Spot+” drive mode and this may feel livelier.

Powertrain wise, there is no difference between the FSport and the regular NX. The FSport does have stiffer suspension, one of the reason I did not opt for the FSport. The FSport also have a larger grille, the regular grille is too big already. Front bumper is different, there are side skirts for the FSport and the rear end is a bit different as well. The seats are different plus some emblem and logo.

The final drive ratio on the F Sport is 4.12 vs 3.89 on the base, according to Car and Driver. The drivetrain is not exactly the same and the ratio increase is providing about 6% more torque to the ground at every rpm, which is the likely explanation for the improvement.

Since you made your decision to trade your regular NX to the FSport version…how was the experiences so far?

A higher final drive ratio will work the engine harder, lower gas mileage, lower the top speed and add torque. That is great if you are towing or drag racing, I think I would rather not work my engine work harder with a higher final drive ratio in a car like the NX which is not a speedster or a tow truck.
