Since you had both the TOM'S piggyback and the TTI reflash, how would you compare the two? Looking at the dynosheets provided, it looks like the only significant difference is the reflash keeps improving over stock from 4K to redline. Whereas the TOM'S just gives a bump from 3300RPM to 5K RPM.
That's why TTI gained more interest from me because they weren't just looking for gains, but also for reliability and efficiency. Your description of the differences are correct. The TOM's gave the car that extra power under the curve with the +3 PSI "fooling" system, whereas the re flash actually adjusts boost, fuel, timing, vvti engagement, throttle etc, so the overall car's performance felt different.

Thank you for the info Sheddy!

The thing I like about OV is that they would do the reflash then adjust it according to datalogs you send back to them to customize the tune. I asked Tony at TTI if they adjust the initial tune but he responded it was just a one-time reflash. Every engine is slightly different with different environments so I'm not sure how a "blanket" tune would work reliably/effectively. Maybe technology has changed to take all variables into consideration?

Dunno about you but I like to save gas. Save gas=save money.

Cars would be rolling 12 mpg black cloud billowing death traps if not for regulation.

Lexus isn't tuning each car out of the factory differently...why would an aftermarket tune be any different? Usually you can just be even more aggressive if you're measuring/adjusting it on the car itself, otherwise OTS tunes are conservative enough to account for vehicle to vehicle differences. Of course, day to day weather changes can have more effect on engine performance than minor tweaks to tuning between two identical vehicles. -20c to +40c can be substantial.

@sheddy On Tom's product page, there's a disclaimer about using non-OEM or non-Toms air cleaner/exhaust, have you guys experienced any issues with these additional mods?

I know someone running an Injen intake with the TOM's power box and they are having no issues, i think its just their way of getting people to only run their products. lol

Hey Guys,

ok update on my status, we figured it out my ECU is having a different software version after all, more specifically its same as the 2017 version which requires a small change in another table, in short I have a new map loaded and seems like car is boosting more consistently now this is just a test MAP not thw actual Stage 2 yet Tony wants to test this for couple of days

I was was able to get my hands on a brand new Burger Tuning piggyback system with a data cable (to adjust boost) for the 8AR-FTS motor. It is up for sale on the 3rd gen IS classifieds.

Those results were on a stock motor too. It made more torque than my reflash with a down pipe, but peak WHP numbers didn't see any difference.

This down pipe is only available for the RWD 8AR-FTS. It is from a company called SPOWER which is affiliated with TTI Motorsports. I believe they are working on a down pipe for the FWD NX platform.
