Disappointing Gas Mileage!
#16
As I've posted in other MPG related threads, my test was a roadtrip to Lake George from NYC. I did not use cruise control as my car was new and Lexus does have a break in period as stated in your manual. My 2016 NX Fsport did 27.9 MPG this is with massive traffic; the kind that makes you want to just drive off the road and ECO mode. I reset my MPG counter after filling up, then proceeded with the trip. If you did not do a counter reset before your actual trip, your data is not accurate. If you did do a reset then best of luck with finding your solution.

- Here's a graphic of the EPA Highway test, 55-60 is the top end, with other variations over the cycle. No 80 mph. I'm getting 25 on an F-Sport AWD, mostly around town driving, some highway some small town traffic. Consistent with a CR-V we had with the 2.4 and an IS with the 3.5. Pure highway is showing upper 20's on the gauge enroute. Satisfied, and as expected, in my experience.
- Duration: 765 seconds
- Total distance: 10.26 miles (16.45 km)
- Average Speed: 48.3 mi/h (77.7 km/h)

I'm at 19K miles. I drive about 75% city / 25% hwy and usually on ECO mode. I go through the 3 different modes everyday but I'm mainly on ECO. The weather here in Texas has been around 30-70 in the past few days (crazy I know), with my tire pressure at 30-32 psi. And I'm getting 27-28 mpg which I am very happy about.

Have gotten 27.3 over the last year and 10 months. Haven't changed the main mileage indicator on the info screen since Feb 2015. Not sure exactly what the combo is but I'd guess 60/40 highway. Came from a RX and have been happy with the NX mileage from the beginning.

We have 19K miles and our mileage is usually 23 to 25 mpg for combined city/highway. On a recent trip to Denver from DFW area we started out at about 25 mpg at 70 to 75 mph. As the elevation increased from about 700' to 6000', the mileage climbed to 29mpg. On the way home, the opposite happened, as the elevation went down, so did the mileage. I have also noticed that if we do 60 to 65 mph on the highway, the mileage will be 29 to 30 but with speed limits away from cities in Texas at 75, we just can't go 60. On our car, the computer mpg indication is usually .5 mpg lower than actual although it varies slightly.

I'm at 28,273 miles (ODO) and have averaged 25.03 MPG over those miles. 75% highway driving (averaging 75MPH+, however). Highest (fill-up to fill-up) to date has been 29.9MPG, lowest 20.33. These values are from my own spreadsheet, not the vehicle's system.

No complaints here with our 2017 - we have been getting 24-25 in the city and have gotten 30+ on the highway on several occasions as well. It sure beats the Highlander we had before - it could get maybe 24 on highway with a 30mph tailwind.

Only 22-23 miles per gallon on the highway, 2017 Lexus NX 200 Turbo (non-hybrid). Lexus window sticker says 27 mpg highway. My figures are based on 2600 miles of highway driving between Ann Arbor and Houston. Conditions were good, cruise control much of the time, ECO mode all the way back. I know "actual mileage may vary", but by almost 20%?!

I have no complaints so far (only 550 miles on my '17) and I'm average at 23 mpg...It is so cold here (-4 this morning) so the car is always started at least 4-5 minutes every morning, lunchtime, and afternoon before leaving work. It will be better when spring comes.
On my 5.7L Tundra with the same kind of driving I am average at 12-13 mpg....
