Bought it, strapped it to the passenger seat, and my wife declared it to have made a "world of difference." Next week's 700 mile trip will be the big test!

Thanks, mjeds!

That's awesome! Love this helpful ClubLexus forum for just this reason.

hahaha.....I love this thread because:
I love the external F-Sport styling (Base is ugly in comparison.....my opinion, but that is what we got).
However, the F-Sport seats for me (6"1", 195 lbs) were almost too narrow.....wife said nothing (5'7", 185.....hips after three kids).
Being the half-witted male I am, I figured if the seats were borderline comfy for me, there was no way in heck they were good for her.
I've been married long enough to know that my wife (seems to be common) will complain AFTER the purchase (whatever it is) rather than before.
That's the ONLY reason I have a base vs. F-Sport.....

Live and learn.

Well, we took that 700 mile trip and there was nary a complaint from the lady in the right seat....about the seats.

There was a complaint from both she and me about the almost thunderous cabin noise when traveling in excess of 70 mph on the roads that had been roughed up and rutted by studded tires over the years. We could turn up radio the volume enough to know what music we were listening to, but for my old ears, listening to talk on NPR or BBC World was quite a strain.

But the seats were great!!!

The bolstered seats will be a sore spot with Lexus IMO. They are kind of a polarized love/hate. Unfortunately, it's hard to gather an instant decision on an individual's preference. So the 15 minute test drive may/may not provide the buyer with the sufficient time needed to determine if the bolstered seats are acceptable. So, why not make both types of seats available on f-sport model? Well, then what do you manufacture and then how do you move the unwanted inventory? I guess Lexus could make a trim package for the honeycomb grille, but then you dilute between your product offerings.

Talking My wife hated too.

Anyone else with this issue on this model or others and possible suggestions? I know I can begin to condition the leather which will soften it a bit but can't see that being a permanent solution for her.

Thanks.
I got her a memory foam and lumbar support pillow. It's a cheap solution and quick fix. Iknow it does not looks nice in the car, but makes her happy

If we get the version that was previewed in China for 2018, it will have more of an RX front end for the 300, 300h. The F Sport will carry on with the current grill.

Ah, I see. So the comment was about the grill and not the polarizing seats. I would love to see the grill like the rest of the world gets and don't understand why Lexus had to give the North American version of past model years such an awkward overbite look. Unfortunately, the f-sport seats are simply not an option for us - I love the standard seats, which I find extremely comfortable for my body type. I am 5'8" and about 160 pounds, so while I carry a few extra pounds, I don't consider myself to be especially overweight - yet the F-Sport seats are not comfortable to me. Perhaps it's an age thing rather than the width of one's posterior - when we get to a certain age we favor comfort over sporty?
