Default Probably my last post, NX is gone

While my wife and I enjoyed our NX200t F sport at times, overall it was not a car that fit our needs any longer. We leased the NX 16 months ago just three days before embarking on a 10 day, 2500 mile road trip up and down the east coast of the USA. It was a beautiful vehicle for such a trip. Quiet, comfortable, sporty enough and roomy enough for 2 adults exploring on the road. However after the trip it began to become apparent that neither of us enjoyed driving the NX around town, to and from work. we both wanted something more responsive, sporty, fun to drive.

Thanks to an amazing deal from Lexus of West Palm Beach Florida, combined with the crazy resale value of a Lexus, we sold our NX to a dealer yesterday. We bought it for under $40k out the door, and 16 months, 18k miles later sold it for $31,500 wholesale to a dealer, basically walking away from a 36 month lease after 15 months.

We checked out the IS and th RC but found them both looking the part more then acting the part.

Our new car is a Cadillac ATS-V

If you are now with an ATS-V then you were way off when you decided to go with an NX prior to that. Good luck and enjoy your ATS-V.

Good luck with the Caddy. The ATS V should give you the performance and handling you were looking for.

CUV/SUV will never have the "fun" factor like a sports car, esp. a high hp one. It's hard to have your cake and eat it too

I turned in my GS lease and bought an NX for the everyday utility when I don't want to lug the minivan around. I'm not expecting it to be as sporty as the GS, but it's not that bad either

I do miss driving the GS, so now I'm looking for a fun sports/sporty/coupe as an addition

Enjoy your new ATS-V. Maybe you should up your new experience in car chat

I came from a Volvo S60 RD and definitely notice the performance and HP difference. That being said, I had no expectation that handling and center of gravity would be similar. The added room and safety features of the NX, as well as the reliability were all big selling points for me. I must add though, that I had not one issue with the Volvo in the time that I had it. Enjoy the Caddie!

Coupe or sedan? Either way, enjoy the ATS-V and wow - what an amazing trade-in value you got for the NX.

When I bought the NX, we had a Mercedes C class and a Subaru WRX, but because we had planned on a couple of long road trips, neither car was ideal. Sold the Subaru and leased the NX. Mostly our needs have changed. We always liked the way european cars drives, mostly Mercedes, BMW, etc. but get tired of the poor workmanship and problems that come with a German automobile. The Japanese can really built a good car, they just don't break, but the driver experience is not the same. The Cadillac is our first American car in a long time. After 3 days it's going in the shop for a rattle in the sunroof and the Cue infotainment system is frozen. Hopefully just new car gremlins and this is not a trend. The car drive amazing though. The grip levels are insane.

I really like the idea of the V series Cadillacs, and I also like the ATS. They (the Vs) aren't practical in Colorado, or I would have looked at one pretty seriously. Maybe someday I can have a V for summer, and the NX for winter. I would be interested in your longer term review, and I'm sure that no one will mind that you don't have the NX anymore

Enjoy the new Cadillac!

Love driving the V, power is brutal, cornering grip is amazing, it's very comfortable. on the down side is the Cue system, which after 3 days we have renamed the Fa Cue system.

Radio tuning and volume MUST be done by a ****. What's next? Square wheels?
