Lexus NX On Track To Outsell In ONE Country ALL Of Tesla's 2015 Business

• Up from 43,764 in 2015, Lexus is on track to sell approximately 50,000 of its NX small SUV in the U.S. in 2016.
• The NX model constituted more than 100% of Lexus' U.S. sales growth in 2015, and is the brand's best relative volume performer in 2016.
• The NX is available both as front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, and is in many ways the Lexus version of the Toyota RAV4.
• The driving experience in the hybrid version is basically that of a tall Toyota Prius, which I think is a good thing.
• Consider that this model, in one country alone, will sell as much in 2016 as all of Tesla did globally in 2015.

What's the point of this comparison? They probably sold more than Ferrari too.

Regardless, Toyota should enjoy it while they can... the Model 3 will eat everyone's lunch.

Ha-ha! That's exactly what I thought when I posted it! I've really never heard of that web site, "Seeking Alpha". Oh well, I thought it would be interesting for others to read.

If you follow the stock market you should give Seeking Alpha a try. It's available in the Apple App Store. One of the best stock apps I've ever used.

That is a bold statement to make for a car that has not even hit the streets yet and won't for some time. I am sure it will probably be good but, let's not jump the gun.

As to what's the point of the comparison of the NX is that many people on the forum have said a lot of negative things about the NX but in spite of all the negativity they are on target to sell 50k NX's this year a 7K increase from last year. I guess the NX can't be that bad.

Maybe a bit over the top. It will probably sell well for Tesla but nowhere near the volume of the NX and other Compact Luxury CUV's in the segment.
