Default Power liftgate delayed response after unlock

Hi all,

Have a brand new 2016 nx200t f sport w power liftgate. One minor annoyance I've noticed now is that when using the keyless unlock via the trunk button to unlock the car, there's a noticeable (5seconds?) Delay before pressing it again actually registers and beeps and opens the trunk. Anyone else notice this?

Thanks

I usually press and hold the hatch unlock button until I hear it beep or until I see the lights flash (one to two seconds). I then release the button and the hatch opens.

Agree the delay is a pain. A workaound is to use the key fob to unlock the car and then hit the boot button on the fob. The boot starts opening immediately.
Still doesn't eliminate the long and sleepy wait until it fully opens.

I also noticed the range is shorter than the unlock.

Same here, not an issue for me.

Ah, that seems like a good enough workaround. Thanks!

I've also noticed that sometimes it will not open when I hit the button. I've finally figured out that I was not holding it long enough. It seems like a quick press will unlock the doors but not open the hatch. Since I've been holding it longer, I've not had a problem with it not opening. Has anyone had a problem with hitting the close button, getting in the car and starting to drive before it fully shuts? Twice as I've started to drive, I've gotten a warning message that the hatch was not shut. I've had to go back, open, then reclose the hatch. I now don't get in the car until the hatch is fully shut.

The rear hatch on my NX is the slowest power hatch I have ever seen.

Couldn't you have simply pressed the hatch button by your left knee (left-side steering vehicles)? That way, you don't even have to leave the nice, warm confines of your NX cabin.

That might work, I forgot about it. I'll try it if i have the problem in the future. Thanks.

This is probably the biggest annoyance with the car for me. Sometimes mine unlocks and then re-locks while holding in the left side. The key fob works well, but it's usually in my pocket. There have been numerous times that I'll put groceries or other things in the back seat rather than use the pain-in-the-butt rear button. I wish I had the manual lift.

Doesn't work too well from the outside with groceries.

I've noticed a few different anomalies with the rear power liftgate. Being a controls electrician gives me the desire to review the electrical drawings for the system of a 2015 NX 200t and see if the procedures are decipherable for a variety of situations.

Angry BePretty 2015 NX 200t liftgate

I have had a variety of unusual operations and misoperations of the rear liftgate. Does anyone have an electrical drawing and know what inputs are driving what sequences in the software?
