Default 2016 NX 200t Front Headlights. Am i missing something?

As you see above, the hook section on this Lexus is lit up, however; on my 2016 Lexus NX 200t, it is not. Is this standard on the 200t or is there something wrong? Is the hook lit up on the NX f sport?

Thanks,

Thanks,
The "hook" on my F-sport is lit and uses a different LED bulb. The base version does not light, it is just a straight line. Sorry about that.

Cool! You quoted my photo! LOL!

Since that is my 2015 NX 200t in the original picture, I can confidently say that it is not related to being an f-sport. Mine is not an f-sport. The base NX has yellow lighting inside the "barb" part of the DRL's "hook" design, as you can see in Photo#1 below. The fully-illuminated, white-bulbed DRLs (hook, bulb, and all) are part of the Premium Package (as shown in Photo#2 below).

Photo#1

Photo#2 (NOTE: the triple-beam headlamps are extra and the fully-lit hook and barb are not dependent on any headlamp configuration. [It's another option at USD$1,160])

Probably not, I think you must have the "Premium DRL" specced from the factory.

I don't understand why Lexus charge you guys in North America for this, the Premium DRL is a standard option here in Australia. I personally think it's a little ridiculous to offer two types of DRL packages.

Depending on if the amber bulb is an incadescent, and the bulb base has a dual filament alternative, you could install LED switchback bulbs. The orange LEDs on the switchback would be tied into the turn signal wires, and the white LEDs on the switchback would have to be spliced into the power wires for the factory LED strip. The switchbacks will automaticaly cut power to the white LEDs when the orange blinker LEDs are functioning. I installed switchbacks on the front turn signals of my '08 IS, before i got the 2012 headlights.

For the base DRL, anyone know how to access the amber turn signal bulb? Appears front bumper has to come off, or maybe can get to back of DRL from the wheel well?
Sorry, I haven't checked my owners manual yet to see if the answer is there
