Default Plasti-Dipping your NX emblem

Hey Has anyone plastidipped their vehicles emblems before? I'm planning on plastidipping my NX and I wasnt sure if the plastidip would damage/remove the clear coat on the car.
Thanks!

P.S. if anyone doesnt know what I'm talking about, Here what I mean

I'm probably going to do the Lexus logo and the NX logo on mine fairly soon. I'm wondering if using plasti dip-like paint from major paint manufacturers is just as good. I've seen Rust-Oleum Peel-Coat or Flexi-Dip.

Did my IS emblems. See build thread in my sig. Go for it, it's fairly simple and low cost.

Like Corrado said, it's pretty straight forward. Did it for my other car and I'm no where close to a handy man or hands on person.

Not at all when peeling it off.

Once dried, the PlastiDip stretches and feels like a plastic garbage and has about the same low adhesion to the clearcoat as does painter's masking tape.

How does it do under the sun? Would the dip melt?

Will plasti-dipped emblems survive automated car washes (either the jet sprayers type or the spinning brushes type)?

I normally go to a hand-wash place, but was just curious.

Yep. Survives my 3000 psi pressure washer from a 1 foot distance and a microfiber wash mitt. Just be sure to apply many thin coats.

No issues in the sun whatsoever. To provide you with more confidence in the product, my IS has in addition been through two winters including one ice storm and multiple freezing rain episodes. Emblems are all intact.

To add to this, so long as you're careful with the pressure gun, no problem. With this said, I would NOT bring my car to any car wash (hand or automated) for many reasons, one of which risks peeling a corner off the plasti dip.

I'll post a pic later. I just sprayed the NX300 on my wife's caviar NX yesterday. I am going to debadge it but figured I'd see what it looks like black. Doesn't look bad. Will look nicer once the NX300 is completely removed from the back of the vehicle. I asked her if I could do all the chrome trim, and she was like "I like the chrome.." ..lol I really feel the roof racks would look so much better painted the body color. They stick out like a sore thumb to me.
