Default Anyone got a recall letter for ABS brake actuator?

As the title says, we just got one and they still don't have the parts so they'll mail us another letter when dealers are ready with parts and procedures.

The sales lady I bought from came all the way to my house this morning with a loaner car (how nice!). My NX is currently in for checking. She told me that so far, two have come in for checking and neither needed to have the actuator changed, so hopefully mine is fine too.

Any info on which cars might be affected - early run models vs later run models?

You can go to Lexus.com Go to bottom of page to 2nd column go to Help/support ...click safety , then recalls . Go to 6th question down " Is my Lexus involved in any outstanding recalls ?" Enter the vin number to find the info on your vehicle. I did call Lexus, 1-800-255-3987 and they also told me mine wasn't , but gave me this info for the future if something comes up again. Hope this helps

I had the 5000 mile free service a couple of weeks ago. I asked them about the recall and they said my vin wasn't part of it. I was surprised since my build was probably during the period when this became an issue..

Not saying it can't affect a US model, but the 1st two people to post were from Canada and Malaysia, at least from their info on the board. Maybe it doesn't affect US models, but I don't know that for sure.

Great information there, thanks for that. This leads you to the following link, which is way easier than trying to go through all that each time, hope this helps others.

http://www.toyota.com/recall

I looked up mine on the site, a 300h and I am in the US and it says it is not part of the recall, or at least there are no open recalls currently.

A few more links I was able to find:

A link to the NHTSA website and the recall, it appears only for the NX200, the 300h does not look to be involved from what I could find at least:
http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/...od_ids=1982646

Link to the actual recall letter that Lexus is sending out, generic version obviously:
http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/acms/cs...5V341-7727.pdf

A link to the Inspection sheet being sent to the dealers, this will tell you how to check it on your own if you want, but I would still take it to your dealer to be 100% certain:
http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/acms/cs...5V341-1507.pdf

A letter stating what the recall is:
http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/acms/cs...5V341-2068.pdf

From another letter, here is how many vehicles they think are involved:
Number of potentially involved : 3,013

All of the links can be found from the 1st link in here, there are documents listed on there that is where the other links I posted and more came from.

Hope this helps people.

Wow, the bake actuator reared it's ugly head again. I had to have the brake actuator replaced on my '13 RX350 more than 2 years ago. I would have thought Toyota/Lexus would have cleared up this bad part by now. Not good.

Thanks Phil. I checked mine and no issues reported.

My0gr81: did your VIN turn up positive on the Toyota recall site?

Will check when I get back at home. On a road trip to Quebec City for the week end. Took the NX, great ride, great gas mileage.
