Default anyone familiar with Execuhitch?

I was browsing and found them online (Execuhitch). They seem to have hitch products that are hidden from plain site until you are ready to use them. They don't list the NX yet but have the RX and other Lexus models.

I am still researching hitches. On the Facebook group someone installed the Draw Tite that is almost hidden. One of the members here installed the Curt hitch. I haven't seen any Hidden Hitch pics yet. My main concern is I don't want it to take away from the appearance of the vehicle. I have seen a few (mostly UHaul) hitches that are obvious appearance detractors which I don't want.

Anyone have experience with Execuhitch?

No experience with that, but check and see if they have a model for a Rav-4, that is what we did for the Curt Hitches before they were put up specifically for the NX and they worked.

they do have one for the RAV4

http://execuhitch.com/tow-hitches/rav-4-xa30.html

I did email them and they said they don't have an official one for the NX yet. They mentioned they have not received a lot of requests for it yet to justify the development. They will develop one if demand picks up.

If they RAV4 one fits then it may seem they will not need to do much development but just get a few guinea pigs to try it out.

Well after watching their video I don't know that it would work, I don't think the rear bumpers on the NX and Rav-4 are the same. I was talking about the mounting points underneath.

What are you looking to tow with the hitch?

Fro almost $600 you are paying a premium for this unit for sure.

for me it would be mostly for bikes but to have the ability to occasionally hook up a trailer if I needed to move a couch or large item I bought from a store. I like the idea that the Execuhitch does not show at all keeping the appearance of the vehicle. Outside of the dealer installed Lexus hitch it seems all the aftermarket hitches will show a little bit.

Yea I agree they do show some, but I got my setup for less than $200, I can deal with it showing for that price! But I will say that does NOT include any wiring, and from what I have heard doing the wiring on the NX is a real pain in the butt.

Good luck on your choice, I would save the $400 and put it toward something else you really want if it was me though, like a nice bike rack for the hitch.
