Navigation Traffic - seems like it is 15 min delayed
I was on the highway this morning in NJ. The highway has signs telling you how long it will take to certain exits. Typically it shows 19 mins for about 15 miles. Today it showed 42 mins. I went to the nav system and input my work address. Although I was stopped going about 5 miles per hour for about 8 miles the system read as green. Finally 15 or so mins later it showed red.
My guess is the HD traffic is delayed.

I wouldn't say this is specific to Lexus per se. I use Google maps every day specifically for traffic, and it's not perfect although I'm guessing it's superior to what Lexus can offer.
Although it's usually in the ball park and often times dead on, there are instances where it shows green (clear traffic), and suddenly it turns red (bad news) right as I approach the congestion. It's supposed to alert me if the intended path is much longer than an alternate route because of traffic, but often it doesn't so I have to peek at the "x minutes slower/faster" overlay as I approach the highway split.

You still need a bypass kit to view the video while in motion.

I've noticed it just depends on the location and the day. Sometimes it's remarkably quick to update, and other times it misses big and obvious issues.
For reference, I believe HD Radio gets the traffic data from Clear Channel's Total Traffic HD Network (TTN). The traffic data will only be as good as the source.
