Default Insurance

I’m just curious how much you all are paying for full coverage. Geico estimates $107.00 a month and my driving record is clean.

Don't know the exact number but it's $10 cheaper per year than my 2012 RX so . . .

$25 more per month for me. I was driving a Jeep prior to the NX so the increase I would expect. It's like going from a dirt bike to a Harley roadglide.

Insurance rates are based on the city/state you live in as well as your age...not just the vehicle and your driving record. An average 35 year old with a clean driving record can probably expect to pay anywhere from $900 - $2500 per year. The southern states tend to be a bit lower, though SC has higher rates than NC because SC has a higher accident rate per population. I know that after I turned 50, my insurance rates dropped dramatically. I was driving a $60k car at the time and my insurance had gone from $1200 a year to $800. But the thing about NC is we have to pay personal property taxes on our vehicles annually...so that costs me $600 a year at registration time. Not all states do this.

I think there are far too many variables to make any sort of comparison.
For example I get a two car discount, plus because my house is insured through the same company I get more of a discount.
Then of course it depends on how much deductible you carry.

Far too much goes into figuring insurance rates to made a fair comparison.

I'm paying $103 a month with State Farm, which is only about $10 more than I was paying when I had my 1RX.

I thought insurance was going to be much higher on the NX, especially since I'm only a year removed from college.

In NJ I priced it out and it was between $1650 and $2400 depending on the insurance company
