corradoMR2's "Darth NX" Build Thread
Thanks guys. Almost fully unveiled.!
Here's the next Mod Unveil: Lower door chrome molding
The appeal of Obsidian to me is the contrast against a tasteful amount of chrome, but not too much. With the loss of the shiny machined OEM F Sport wheels, the NX needed some sparkle for its side profile. I'm not too fond of Lexus' version of the available OEM chrome molding for the NX (below) that moves up diagonally, so I bought my own 3/4" 3M chrome molding, trimmed and installed it to the shape of the subtle but nicely sculpted lower door rocker panels.

Teaser wheels photos look awesome. I can't wait to see the full vehicle shot. The wheels are perfect match for Obsidian. I'd love to know how they affect the ride quality. BTW what did you do with the original set of wheels and tires. Do dealers buy them back? Do you just hold on to them or sell them on eBay?
Thanks guys. Almost fully unveiled.!

^^^ Thanks.
A final mod unveil before full shots of the NX: 50% front window tints
Unlike my IS at 35% all around and 20% at the rear, I wanted something lighter at the front since I find my IS is difficult to see at night time in low lighting conditions especially when reversing. The change is subtle but a little darker overall.

Here's the full unveil as promised with two before shots. Thanks again for your interest.
Needless to say, the NX is a head turner. Yesterday, at the Tim Horton's drive thru, a black X3 and black RDX drove slowly by, both drivers staring.
NOTE: This first batch of pics does not have the tints. Next post will.

!! May I ask you a question? Hows your fuel efficiency with the 20s compared to stock?
