This is for Alberta Canada. Should we still aim for 10% off MSRP in Canada?

I was quoted with an offer 2019 Lexus NX premium package. They threw in a set of winter tires (not sure if it matters).

MSRP 48000
fees/freight 2175
sales tax 5%

they gave me a price of 52000 all in.
Lease option of 0% interest for 40 months. No down payment needed and 20000 Km per yr.
Works out to be 590 cad/month with tax added already

how much lower should I ask for? Thanks

For what its worth, I found that when shopping for a used Nx, most dealerships, lots, and private sellers did not move on their price point. Some advised that the internet keeps most price points competitive, leaving no wiggle room to negotiate a price. Additionally, cash vs loan didn't matter.

Get in touch with Denice Avila at Lexus Glendale she's giving me the best prices in SoCal. She price me out lower than what you're getting for an NX

While the discount off MSRP (~13%) looks good, what's being added to that discount (~11%) to get out the door seems suspicious unless CA has an 11% tax on cars.

tax is about 9.5%. The difference is probably all the fees plus registration. People need to know what incentives are coming from Lexus and what’s the actual dealer discount. When I negotiate I always ask for discount off MSRP before incentives.

Wow. They really get you in CA with the tax. Looks like a relatively good deal.

Hi everyone!
I am newbie here. I am on the market for a new NX F-Sport. Does any one know any good Lexus dealer/sale person in the Pacific Northwest region (Seattle/Portland)? Reading through this thread, I see that a lot of people got some very good deal on the NX. However, I have talked to 3 dealers around my area and they all seam like ignoring me when I try to get between 10-13% off the MSRP during the negotiating part. They said all they could do was about 5% off MSRP. Is it too much to ask for in my region?
Thanks everyone.
