As owners are now trickling in for this amazing crossover, let's centralize our tracking and discussion of our fuel economy experiences with the NX here.

What's your mix of city vs highway driving? Are you close to the EPA or Canada government ratings?

200t FWD........22/28 mpg
200t AWD........21/28 mpg........10.6/8.4 L/100km.........10.8/8.8 L/100 km (F-Sport)
300h FWD.......35/31 mpg
300h AWD.......33/30 mpg.........7.1/7.7 L/100km

GREAT idea. We bought a '06 Highlander Hybrid due (almost exclusively) on the 31MPG fuel economy only to learn 6 months in that we would NEVER see those figures. There was some type of legal issue going on that "allowed" Toyota to "re-state" the figures to ...26MPG and we have averaged close to that figure but it was VERY disappointing to learn that NOBODY was able to obtian the 31MPG that was originally "promised" on the original window sticker (that we still have in the filing cabinet). Well I have the lexus nx 300h f-sport for 2 weeks now.

The catalog here in Europe says 5.5 l/100 but it's a lot more. It's realy disappointing. I get 10 to even 12 l/100! If I drive very slow I can only get 9,8 l/100

Could this be due to the type/gasoline being used?

The owners of NX300h on MinKara Carview seem to have better fuel economy with their regular gasoline in Japan.

First, congrats!

Without repeating myself from my post in your other "2 week review" thread, something is not right since I got this fuel economy with my previous RX400h. However, consider the fact that it's winter (20% worse fuel economy), and ensure you maximize city driving/"pulse and glide" driving and you should see at least a drop to the 8L/100 km range by spring time. Well I hope that I am wrong. But drop from 12 to 8 L seems more than impact on drive style.

Please check the catalog again. a 5.5L/100 would be equivalent to 42MPG and therefore would not expect Lexus to have published a figure that is SO FAR out of the current figures. Is it possible that you were reading a "speculative" article from a trade magazine that was not being reasonable?. Are you certian it wasn't 7.5L/100km because those figures would equate to the 31.4 MPG that is currently being stated as the HWY figures for the ....HYBRID version.

European testing standards are different. It's not just a simple conversion of a number. Official numbers there are always better for the same vehicle

And those figures are as real as the Big Mac in McDonalds posters. :p

Latest tank fill up after 610km driving in mixed conditions without highway:

NX300h FWD: 7,7l/100km (36.7 mpg)

The onboard computer gives me a 8,4 (33,6mpg) for the total 2100kms (1300 miles)

I think I learned how to drive a hybrid....

^^^Toyota/Lexus hybrids thrive in the city. Not surprised you are equaling or getting better than EPA. :thumbup:

Since my last reset, I have been driving mostly to work and back. About 30 mins on the highway, 10 minutes in the city each way.. and I've been averaging about somewhere between 24-25 mpg. I have an NX 200t F Sport (no hybrid for me).
