rear A/C ducts
Are the REAR A/C ducts controlled entirely by the "auto" air settings?Recent hot day with wife in back, she complained the A/C ducts weren't open and no Air was flowing, cold OR hot. It was HOT, HOT, that day, so I'm sure the A/C was doing it's best to cool the car. She tried the knurled wheel on the vent housing in both positions and moved the door louvers all different ways, but felt NO air flowing from vents in any position of the knurled wheel and/or louvers. The front of the car was fine, cool as a cucumber, but the rear seating area was uncomfortably hot.
I guess what I really would like to know is----can I open the rear A/C vents manually, keep them open manually, and only adjust them manually?
Once again I tried to get the information from the "owners manual", The closest I could find is that the rear A/C vents are part of the auto A/C system and IT decides when to open and close the rear A/C vents. I can't believe there isn't a manual override!
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
