I'm preparing to purchase the NX for my wife, however I'm worried about a brand new model markup. Does Lexus allow their dealers to do this, especially those $1k "trim" jobs?

there is no markup for sure... but you will quite likely get some discount 6-10 months in, that you could not get right away.

To see the badge makes this even more real! And all eyes out for the 11th of April if indeed this is true. Fingers crossed!

I suppose on a new model with high demand, there will be dealers adding "protection" packages etc. To a vehicle like the NX.

^^^ I'm skeptical of the power fold down rear seats, at least for the N.American market. Give me heated (and cooled) rear seats first over this any day. I'd love (and want) the HUD. Features overall look very promising and that Sonic White color will also be introduced on the RC F-Sport if I'm not mistaken

But of course it wouldn't be $55K plus either.
3.5 V6 will be an option, FOR SURE. You can get a V6 in the RAv4. You can bet you will on the NX

I read from somewhere that mentions the output of the Lexus NX 2.0T engine will be around 240hp.

The new gen RAV4 doesn't offer a V6 anymore.

I seriously doubt that there will be a V-6 option. No V-6 in new RAV4 so it likely the architecture won't support the V-6. Everything I have heard says a turbo 4 or a 4 cyl hybrid.

The 2.0t's in the X3 and Evoque are rated at 240 hp. The Q5 is 220. So 240 for the NX might be in the ballpark.

No V6 for the NX. Registered trademarked names back in Oct/Nov 2012 are only two: NX 200t and NX 300h. Consistent with the rest of the Lexus naming, this means the new 2L Turbo 4 cyl for the former name, and the existing 2.5L Lexus Hybrid Drive (possibly tweaked) for the latter name.
