Default Visibility Issues

For those of you who already have a 2022 or 2023 NX, are you concerned with any visibility issues; i.e. blind spots when trying to change into the right line? I have an NX on order but saw where Consumer Reports had this on their "lows". I appreciate any feedback on this. Thank you.

I think that's semi subjective since all new SUVs/minivans/crossoverers seem to have a high beltline for better looks which inevitably means a bigger blindspot. Having said that, I've had no issues with it between the decently sized mirror and the blind spot system.

No such issues here, especially given the blind-spot nanny embedded in the mirrors.

No issues at all with rearward visibility...much better than the previous gen, where I often removed the rear seat headrests due to the smallish rear window.

I don’t have any problems, but then I mostly use the digital rearview mirror.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, despite me requesting the digital rear view mirror feature, mine is coming w/o one.

tis the way of modern cars... I don't love it either, that being said with the blind spot monitoring and other safety features I do not feel like it has been an issue in day to day use. We don't have the digital rear view either. You'll probably need to develop new habits that are different than your current vehicle, but in time you'll get used to it!

These These
go on every car we drive. Even rental cars. Given how spotty the performance is of the electronic gizmos on our cars are (digital key, profile loading, wireless charging, etc..) there's no way I'd trust the built in nannies to protect me.

Like others have said, blind spots are primarily because of poor mirror positioning.

That said, I have excellent visibility in my NX.

The CR reviewer either does not know how to adjust his mirrors or is crappy at his job, or is hating on the NX🤣😜 probably because he drives a Genesis🤣😂

Thanks for your comment. If I can get good positioning for visibility with my side mirrors only (without the digital mirror), then I will stick to my NX purchase. They have an RX available with all that I want, BUT not sure I like that grill, bigger, and may not be as fun to drive.

There are a lot of videos that show how to properly set your side mirrors! This is a good one:

While I do check my mirrors, I find that looking over both shoulders works really well. Visibility when I do that is pretty good.

The amount of snow the wipers leave beside the “A” pillar is a visibility issue for me. It’s almost a 1/4 inch, it’s basically another blind spot up front
