I tried twice setting up the digital keys as a backup to the FOB. I got some strange interactions if you have the FOB present- it kept unlocking the door and then locking over and over. Seeing the mirror swinging widely was almost assuming if not so sad. LOL. I suppose if I had tried to drive the car without the FOB just using the digital key, it might have worked. However, I did not want to be somewhere without having the the FOB if the the digital key failed and I needed a service/tow.
My current thinking is wait until they do a SW refresh for the car (and hopefully phone apps) and try again. Otherwise, the whole digital key/wireless charging option was a waste of money- neither works well. The Lexus reliability/solid allure has faded a tad. Just saying Lexus....
I have an iPhone and I have read all the steps users have posted here with no luck. I am running IOS 16.0.2 and I tried with 15.7 also.
The app gets stuck at this screen and even after an hour doesn’t move, no prompts or error messages.
any input would be helpful. This is what I see
this usually happens on the weekend and on Monday morning they reboot a server or something and it starts working. It’s happened to me on a number of occasions.

don’t count on a software update or an app update to fix this. If they were going to fix it they would’ve done it by now.
I wholeheartedly agree that the package with the digital key and wireless charging is absolutely worthless. In my opinion Lexis should be refunding everyone the $500 they paid for this.
My salesperson who is very knowledgeable could not get the digital key to download. He did a chat with technical support and it looks like Lexus has not caught up to apple iOS version 15
My remote start, lock, unlock etc on my Lexus app works. So at least that works. I like this feature

I also had issues at the Dealership when they were trying to set up the digital key. However, when I selected allow access to calls and messages on the 3rd attempt, then it paired successfully and I was able to get the digital key.
However, the digital key is hit or miss. Sometimes it starts on my first attempt, sometimes it takes a couple of tries holding the phone near the start button to get it to work. It's not as seamless as you would expect.
For those successfully setup the digital key, will you only carry your phone when you go out?
The Lexus app on my phone (Pixel 6) often not responding. The dealer helped me to download the digital key when I picked up my car but I lost the digital key when I uninstall/re-install the Lexus app.
I'm too scared to only leave the house with the Digital Key. It takes multiple tries for me to start the car (playing around with BT or NFC and holding it at different places close to the start button).
I also find the Lexus App crashes and won't load correctly.
The digital key hasn't failed me yet, but I wouldn' leave without a fallback option.

So, digital key is not necessary to use Lexus app to remote start the car, lock and unlock the door, right? On some models of NX350H, they don't come with digital key. Does that mean the key fob is required to use with Lexus app? I'm not clear on the difference of having or not having digital key. Could someone explain on this further? Thank you in advance.

Phone: Google Pixel 6 Pro Car: NX 450h+
I have the same phone, it's a total mess with the Pixel 6 Pro.
Thinking that they did an update to the app, it still seems a hit or miss. I continuously get key left in car when I try to lock the car.

The digital key is designed so that you do not need to bring your keyfob with you when you go out. Or you can send a digital key to a friend, so that he/she can use your car and you can revoke the key when he/she is done. Remote Start via app does not require the digital key.
