That's the problem. The app won't let you add the car so I can't access any of the subscriptions and trials.

YMMV.,

For the 2022 NX, Navigation is a subscription service called Drive Connect. Drive Connect includes cloud navigation, destination assist and intelligent assistant (better voice commands). If you have the 9.8" screen, it comes with no trial period. If you have the 14" screen, you get a 3 year trial. Outside of the trial period, it's $16 a month.

When you are in the Lexus app and go to add the car, you have to use "scan QR code". Otherwise it won't work.

Exactly but the QR code won't pop back up on the Lexus Display. So I have nothing to scan and it won't let me add it manually. That's why Lexus had to put in a ticket and let me know that this is an ongoing issue with other nx customers. All we can do is wait for them to fix the issue.

Try this, turn off bluetooth on your phone. On the car's screen go into the settings and reset the Lexus Interface system. After it's reset, reboot the car's screen twice by pushing and holding the radio's power ****. This should make the car's screen come back to the default welcome screen. Pull up your Lexus app and when you get to the add vehicle section, stop. On the car's screen, select your language, put in your phone number, and then the car should show the QR code. Now scan it with the app. Follow the app's screens including accepting the terms and conditions.

Once this is done, turn BT back on and pair your phone up to the car.

Thumbs up Great Answer Thanks!

Without a subscription, the navigation system will continue to work, but the map data will revert to the version that was installed when the car was built. As an alternative to having a subscription, there is also the option to buy a new version of the maps, which has always been the case with earlier navigation systems.
@lesz Thank you for your response!

I don’t even have my vehicle yet, but I do have the Vin. Using the Vin I was able to add it to my app.

Everyone buys based on how well the features meet their needs. Car size, type, options, color all factor into your choice.
Some features are standard and many cost extra. We used to pay extra for FM to listen to the new stations in the 1960's.
Free after the initial expense, right? Then came cell phones, used to get one for free with subscribed services!

Fast forward to this thread, some of us use and love the elaborate connected features, Dynamic Nav., Dynamic Voice,
Safety and Service Connect, XM radio. My Mom however would not (could not!) use any of them. Should we just
charge an extra couple grand for every car and supply everything to everybody? Leasing the car for 3 years? Gotta
pay extra for a lifetime of services you are not going to use?

My point is that we get what we pay for and pay for what we want or need. Subscriptions suck but it provides better
services than free stuff.

I need navigation because I am severely direction/location challenged. I find most of the services offered by Lexus and other automobile vendors completely superfluous and I never ever use them. I remember a long, long time ago when AM came in statically and a reverb speaker in the back was state of the art, However, I never remember paying for FM.

When my services expire, I will not keep any subscriptions except Sirius. I like listening to clear Sirius news besides local stations; I only wish they had NewsMax. And being old school, I would have welcomed a CD player.

My final thought on subscription services is that companies are misusing technology to solve a problem or problems that don't exist just to make an extra buck!

YMMV,
Midciw3

Yes, initially, but I never paid extra to listen to "new" FM stations. I never paid for an FM subscription service and that was the point because I was talking about "subscription services".

There is nothing in the Navigation system that can't be done with Car Play or Android Auto, but the Lexus implementation is very good - the tech system is well thought out - but it is totally possible to use the car without any of the subscription services. The only one I plan on continuing is Drive Connect because I like using the app, but without it I can still remote start the car using the fob.

On my 2016 RX I had issues getting the Enform. Played games with Lexus for about a month trying to get it to work. Then they finally deleted all my vehicle information and started fresh. That go my remote start to finally work.

How may services are there all together? Besides XM

Remote Start

Keyless entry with a cell phone

Ive had no issues with the services and getting them connected. It was easy and through the app. No need to hit SOS button anymore.

Subscriptions offered are Safety Connect, Drive Connect, Remote Connect with Digital Key and Wi-Fi Connect.

Trial Lengths
Safety Connect. - 3yr
Drive Connect - 3yr
Remote Connect - 3yr
Wi-fi connect - 3GB or 30 days.

Hope this helps!

While technically true. Using the cars navigation allows it to show in the display and the HUD, which is nice if you like that sort of thing.
