Default Dashboard reflection on Dashcam

Still testing and playing around with the Lexus integrated Dashcam I got installed last week. When reviewing some videos, I noticed that certain times of the day the reflection of the dashboard shows up on the videos. I guess it has to do with the angle of the sun in relation to the dashcam.

For all those Dashcam owners out there, is this normal on your videos too. Do you do something to minimize the reflection of the dashboard on the videos. I do ensure that the windshield glass in front of the dashcam is always clean.

Just curious if this is normal.

Don't know if this helps, but typically there are polarizing lens filters that are supposed to address light issues.....

Interesting. I will start searching to see if there are any filters that will fit the dash cam lens.

I have used polarizing filters with good success when I used sport cameras clipped to my sun visors. They do skew the color balance some, but eliminate the glare from the dashboard. FitCamX has some self-adhesive polarizers although I haven't purchased and added them to the two FitCamX installations I have.
