On my 2025 NX 350 Luxurry when the seting is set to automatiic after a period of time the system swiches to off. Not a big
deal but wonering why.

Controls unmder the nav system

The Auto function on the climate system will turn off if you yourself adjust anything to do with your climate controls. Adjust the fan, switch the zones you want to direct airflow to, turn on or off the AC, turn on or off the defrost, all will switch off the Auto function. When it's in Auto it wants to do everything for you basically, and when you adjust something it says 'oh you take over then' . The purpose of this Auto system is that Lexus has determined how to control the hvac system to use as little power as possible to improve your gas mileage and preserve your hybrid battery consumption.
